China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation (abbreviated as CCOEC) was founded in 1965 with the approval of the State Council. The Corporation was formerly called China National Corporation for Building Materials and Equipments Exportation. It is one of the earliest central enterprises in undertaking foreign economic and technical cooperation as well as foreign-aid development projects.

 

Hailed as a friendship messenger of the Chinese people, CCOEC has gone through a glorious journey of more than 40 years. It has successfully implemented and accomplished over 600 development projects under China’s foreign-aid programs in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, in various fields ranging from energy, light and chemical industries, telecommunication, transportation and agriculture to culture, sports, health care and urban construction. We have been widely admired by governments and peoples of other countries for what we have accomplished, thus winning honor and glory for our country. 68 of CCOCE’s staffs have won certificates and gold/silver medals of “China Foreign Assistance Awards” issued by Ministry of Commerce, among whom 38 won gold and 30 won silver medals.

 

Four decades down the line, CCOEC has forged close and solid ties with governments and business proprietors of many countries and regions all over the world, and maintained good working relationships with Chinese government departments, financial institutions and suppliers as well. The Corporation boasts a specialized staff team of high caliber with dedicated professionalism and rich experience in project execution and management under a full-fledged internal control system. These advantages gained in the course of its 40 years’ development have made CCOEC a major player in the trade and laid a solid foundation for sustained business expansion in the new century.
