Chilly wind and frozen snow can not ward off the warm greetings. On Jan 22, the eve of Lunar New Year, CCOEC President Ma Zhiwu, Vice President Xie Lutao, Vice President Zhang Yuanling and International Engineering Department I General Manager Liu Ying went to visit Minsk 5 power plant project site in Belarus, expressing their Spring Festival greetings to the staff from CCOEC and relevant construction companies who are still working on the site during the festival. In addition, they extended regards from Genertec Chairman He Tongxin, President Li Dang as well as Vice President Zhang Ruen.
On the evening, President Ma and other visiting leaders enjoyed a happy get-together with the staff of CCOEC Representative Office in Belarus and site staff. They made Chinese dumplings, set off fireworks, had New Year’s Eve dinner and watched CCTV Spring Festival Gala together. President Ma then delivered New Year’s address on behalf of the leading group of CCOEC.
On Jan 23, the first day of Lunar New Year, President Ma and his party came to the Minsk 5 construction site, extending their greetings to the staff at work in the central control room, booster station, boiler room as well as the dining hall at site. President Ma listened to the work report on debugging in the central control room and exchanged views with Minsk 5 power plant director on the progress of the project and instructed the ignition trial-run work of the generating unit.
On Jan. 24, the second day of Lunar New Year, the delegation led by President Ma braved wind and snow and visited the staff on the Minsk 2 power plant site. Accompanied by the proprietor and the relevant personnel, the delegation inspected the turbine house, boiler room, chemical water treatment workshop, etc. respectively. After having listened to the report of the on-site manager, Mr. Ma fully affirmed the performance achieved on the project site, and put forward an earnest requirement for the subsequent close-out work.
Wherever he went, Mr. Ma greeted the staff with “Happy Chinese New Year!” “Thank you for your hard work!” and “Wish you Happy Spring Festival!” Such genial greetings touched the hearts of the staff.
Laden with the profound sentiment towards the staff, each and every such greeting motivated everyone to turn their nostalgia and beatitude of their families into the driving force of work. The staff expressed that, although they were unable to join their families, they could still feel the warmth and solicitude of a big family and rich atmosphere of Chinese New Year. They vowed not to fail the expectations of their leaders and spare no efforts in making contributions to the construction of the project.
