February 19-23, Vice President Xie Lutao accompanied Genertec leaders including President Li Dang to the China-Turkey Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum held in Istanbul. Visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping received representatives of Chinese enterprises at the forum and delivered his speech. Genertec President Li Dang made a presentation as the only representative of Chinese enterprises.

 

CCOEC has attracted much attention from the local enterprises in Turkey, with its remarkable achievements in power construction there, which includes undertaking 10 small sized power plants, supplying equipments for 23 generation units with a total capacity of over 130 mw. During the visit, Vice President Xie Lutao carried out a series of business activities, with the support and assistance from Genertec Representative Office in Turkey. He signed MOU on behalf on the Corporation with EREN , which aims at joint development on projects of power energy and infrastructure in Turkey and its neighboring countries. Mr. Xie held talks with the Chief Commercial Counsellor of Turkish Embassy to China, President of ARKON Mr. Kalsin. He also met with Bigmak President Mr. Nazim for power project in Iraq. On February 21, accompanies by AROL President, Vice President Xie and his delegation visited Turkey’s first BOT gas-fired power plant located in the outskirts of Istanbul and talked with the proprietor on the subsequent power plant construction.
