China-Ukraine Bilateral Entrepreneurs Council was officially established on April 20, in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The visiting Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Entrusted by President Ma Zhiwu, Vice President Xie Lutao headed the CCOEC delegation to the meeting.
Since 2010, leaders of the two countries have met on many occasions and reached important consensus, laying a solid foundation for the bilateral relations. Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang indicated during his speech that both China and Ukraine have their own advantages and hence the two countries enjoy huge potential for cooperation. We should cooperate in more innovative ways and in wider range, for the real benefits of the two peoples.
Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister Klyuyev claimed that China has become the main force in driving up global economic growth. The Ukraine Government attaches great importance to its relation with China, and hopes to introduce capital and technology from China in the fields of infrastructures, water treatment, solar power, wind power, etc. Ukraine will strive to create sound environment for Chinese enterprises to invest there, which will further enhance the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Vice President Xie Lutao, together with CCOEC’s Working Group in Ukraine, held discussions with Ukraine’s business circle in finance, transportation, energy resources, hi-tech and machinery sectors, talking over possible cooperation on trade and economy, financing, urban infrastructure construction and power construction as well, with further consensus reached between CCOEC and relevant local enterprises, which marks a firm step forward of CCOEC in exploring the Ukraine market.
