Minsk No.5 Thermal Power Plant Rehabilitation Project in Belarus is the largest ever project being implemented between China and Belarus for the time being. The contract was concluded in September, 2008, and the construction was expected to be completed in 2011 for generating electricity. The project is funded by China’s export buyer’s credit, for building a gas-steam combine cycle unit, with a total capacity no less than 400MW±10%. CCOEC is the EPC contractor, and most of the equipments for the projects are manufactured in China, which is the first in exporting China-made heavy gas turbines.
