As Chen Zhili, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress (NPC) of China was to pay a visit to the DPRK in early December, The Standing Committee of NPC of China decided to present a batch of office equipments as gifts to the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK. The Department of Aid to Foreign Countries, Ministry of Commerce assigned the task to CCOEC after bid evaluation, considering we have carried out the previous foreign-aid projects during state leaders’ overseas visits in high quality and free of error. Receiving the notice of the task, the overseas economic department of CCOEC, with no delay, arranged a special team in charge of cargos, commodity inspection and transportation. Despite the tight schedule and the bad weather, the preparation works finished within two weeks, and all the equipments reached DPRK on November 29.

The Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK took delivery of the equipments on November 30. A handover ceremony was held in Pyongyang during the visit of Chen Zhili, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress (NPC) of China.
