CCOEC will expand its labor service business in Japan through close collaboration with Choka Trading Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based overseas arm of Genertec. President Ma Zhiwu of CCOEC and Liang Weiqiang, General Manager of Choka Trading Co. Ltd. signed a Cooperation Agreement on February 25, this year after a round of talks between the two subsidiaries of Genertec Group.
Under this agreement, CCOEC and Choka Trading will intensify their cooperation in tapping the Japanese labor market by pooling respective resources and advantages to facilitate a more sustainable and convenient through-channel for their Japan-bound labor dispatch operations. Aimed at broadening their collective market share in Japan, the two sister companies are to concentrate their efforts on streamlining an efficient labor-dispatching chain of market information securing and screening, labor sourcing, training and final dispatching, post-dispatching feedback and follow-up management so as to enable a win-win situation from which both partners will benefit. Closer business ties and coordinated partnership among subsidiaries have been encouraged by Genertec as they stimulate rapid mutually beneficial business growth and are in line with the Group’s strategic expansion initiatives.
As a contractual labor service supplier, or “Accredited Sending Organization” by Japan International Training Cooperation Organization, CCOEC dispatched more than 2000 labor worldwide last year, of which about 85% was Japan-bound trainees and interns, who are working with a wide range of industries under either the “Industrial Training Program” or the “Technical Internship Program”. The dispatch figure this year is believed to rise substantially, thanks to the new cooperation deal.
For years, Japan has been facing an aggravated shortage of labor force, especially in its low tech industries such as building, garment-making and food-processing. In early 90’s last century, Japan began to turn to China for the makeup, taking advantage of its giant neighbor’s geographic adjacency and, more importantly, its incredibly inexhaustible low-cost labor base.
